All American Week

This week is "All American Week" at Fort Bragg. It is a chance for the soldiers to have a little fun and to bring their families to work and show them some of the stuff they do. President Bush is even coming for it. As a part of this, they had many different sport competitions going on where the soldiers in the 82nd can compete with each other and other units in the 82nd.

Chris decided to play Volleyball. For those of you who didn't know, Chris played Volleyball in High School at Clovis West, and played on the college team years ago when he was at Mt. SAC. Even though it has been years since Chris has played, he did very well. Each match he got better and better. The best match, was the one they lost in the semi-finals to the team that won the tournament. Chris was on FIRE! Too bad I didn't get any video or pictures from that match. I was too focused on watching! But I did get some pics and video from some of the earlier matches.

Here's pictures of what Kayla and Austin did to keep themselves entertained! I pulled Kayla out of school early so she could participate in the fun. (Only on the first day, though).

In this video, Chris is in the front row (tan shirts) on the right side. He is the one spiking the ball. I was having trouble uploading the other video, so this one will have to do. I think that Chris played amazingly, but that may be the doting wife in me talking!
