Yesterday, after driving to Charlotte, we went to Lake Norman and had a picnic dinner. Kayla and Austin had fun playing around and getting all wet.
There was a little park there and Kayla did something she hasn't done in a year and a half - go on the monkey bars. She broke her arm and dislocated her elbow at school by trying to skip three bars and has been scared to go on them since. But, she finally got over it, and decided to try it again.

That place looks so pretty. I remember when Kayla broke her arm! I would be scared too!! Good for her for overcoming her fear.
Such a pretty place! I am glad you were able to get away as a family before your husband has to leave. I think you're so strong for being able to be a military wife. Knowing you makes me appreciate those that protect America in any way more and more!
