Our Christmas was nice and laid back. Christmas Eve the kids and I opened presents from all our family. We really got spoiled from you all! I made a special dinner with all the fancy china. If you can only use it for company, what's the point of having it?
Christmas morning, Santa left some great gifts. I was expecting the kids to get up super early, but I was actually awake before they were. Kayla and Austin were very grateful for all the presents they got, and were even surprised with a phone call from Chris. He called at 6:45 am and I asked him if the line was long to use the phone since it was 2:45 pm in Iraq. He told me that everyone was waiting because their kids would still be sleeping, but he called because he knew that we would be up. How true!
That evening, we went to my friend's family's house and enjoyed Christmas dinner with them. We even brought a pinata and shared our Christmas tradition with them. Thank you to everyone for remembering our family!

Merry Christmas, my friend. And now a happy new year to you! I like the idea of using the china whether or not you have company. Otherwise, why have it? Thanks!!
It must be so hard to be separated at Christmas! I'm glad you were able to talk on the phone though. Merry Christmas!
I'm glad that you and the kids had a good Christmas! We had an eventful Christmas too thanks to Hunter! Take care and give Kayla and Austin kisses!! Say hi to Chris for us too. I'm working on his birthday box, tell him sorry it will be late.
I about cried every time I heard that song of Santa talking about the soldier with Mannheim Steam Roller playing Silent Night in the background. I hope you know I'm SO thankful for the sacrifices your family and many other families make so I can enjoy peace at home, freedom, and safety! I'm so glad you were able to talk on the phone! Merry Christmas and Happy New year!
Hey guys! Merry Christmas. I don't have a new address or I would have sent a card. I'm glad your Christmas looks like it was a lot of fun. I'm so glad Chris was able to call. He would probably give anything to have been there!
Cute pics Jeanette! I hope you're doing well. You are one of the strongest women I know. I miss you here for sure! :)
